Getting Creative with Exterior Lighting

We've said it before and we'll say it again - lighting is one of those things that can completely change the vibe and style of a home. Refreshing an outdated house? Change the light fixtures. Trying to take your home in a new design direction? Swap the fixtures! Everybody loves a good, fun interior light fixture but we feel like exterior lights don't often get the same coverage. This week, we rounded up a few of our favorite exterior lighting situations as of late to share with you guys!

This Moravian style star hanging light at The Centennial House was an instant yes from us. It totally helped elevate and transform the front entrance to this 1915 Spanish Colonial home we renovated, and definitely upped the curb appeal (below are links to two similar options).

String lights are a great way to add whimsy and charm to a space without breaking the bank! If you don't have an existing structure to work off of, you can simply install a wood or metal post.

Unique, thoughtfully selected lights can make a huge impact without being overly loud or ornate. We think these fixtures are super pretty and functional!

We're all about using statement lights at the entrance to a home, but we also love the simplicity of the little guy in the middle. As long as you keep in mind the style of the home, there's really no going wrong!

Thanks for tuning in this week and don't forget to leave a comment below telling us what you think!
