FRENCH COUNTRY

AMERICAN RIVIERA

Originally built in 1933, The Fleur House was a true diamond in the rough when we got our hands on it. It had so much character, but much of it had been covered up over the years. Our job was to bring it back to life without losing any of its original charm and character. The process definitely had its ups and downs, but the end result was better than we even imagined.

HANDCRAFTED

They Don't Make 'Em Like They Used To

The Fleur House is brimming with original elements that just scream quality craftsmanship. From the uniquely aged brass door hardware to the beautifully restored Red Oak floors and the original windows and doors throughout, this home is long on character. To add to this, we brought in elements that enhanced the handcrafted feel of the home, including a hand-carved marble mantel circa 1880(!) that was shipped from Paris. We wanted the feeling when you walk through the door to be like a you're walking back in time. We think it worked!

Pass the Hors D'oeuvres, Si Vous Plait

From the vintage pine hutch, to the bead board panelling, to the European range and so much more, we wanted to give the kitchen at The Fleur House some serious je ne sais quoi. We added custom cabinetry, Carrara Marble counters, a beautiful Waterworks faucet & farmhouse sink to round out the space. Sitting in this sun drenched space is something we're gonna miss!

A Bathroom Fit for a King (or Queen)

In the Primary Bathroom, we wanted to create a true sanctuary. Artisan-level tile work sets the stage, with the floor tiles laid in a chevron pattern that put our tile guys to the test. The tile work continues into the HUGE shower, with a soaring 10-foot arched ceiling, which frames the exposed brass rain head shower from Waterworks really nicely. The custom double vanity has matching wall-mounted brass Waterworks faucets, which we mounted onto the Carrara Marble backsplash.

GARDEN

Parisian Patio Dreams

secret

When we first saw The Fleur House's garden, we knew we were in luck. We immediately saw how we could incorporate multiple lounge and dining areas, and we centered everything around the original 1933 stonework Santa Maria Grill. We redid the landscaping, and brought in a very Mediterranean plant palette with lavender, olive trees, and a collection of more than twenty vintage planters that have been freshly potted. And to make it very water-conscious, we added an artificial turf yard. Can you say low maintenance?!
