Santa Barbara's Funk Zone has seen an incredible resurgence in the last decade. Once a very "Funky" area full of warehouses and decrepit buildings, some savvy developers saw its potential and turned it into the drinking and dining hub of the region. Follow the Urban Wine Trail and have a world class wine tasting experience without ever setting foot in a car. East Beach:
East Beach is Santa Barbara's most iconic and largest beach. Huge swaths of sand mean you'll never have trouble finding a spot, and there are a bunch of volleyball courts that are available for free on a first come, first served basis.

Stearns Wharf:

Take a stroll down Stearns Wharf for some of the best views in town. There are a bunch of restaurants, wine tasting rooms and little gift shops to enjoy, although it does tend to skew a little to the "tourist trap" side of things.

The Arlington Theater:

For a truly unique moviegoing experience, check out the historic Arlington Theater. Home to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the Arlington will have you looking around the room as much as you're looking up at the screen.
