ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Downtown Santa Barbara:
The Craft House is situated in the heart of Santa Barbara's iconic downtown. Just 1 block from the State Street Promenade, you are just steps away from all the city has to offer. World-class food & drinks, open air shopping, weekly farmer's markets and beautiful architecture are all within walking distance of the home.

The State Street Promenade:
Shut down to traffic during COVID, the State Street Promenade has become a bustling corridor every day of the week. Dozens of parklets provide a myriad of al fresco dining options, and the pedestrian-centric atmosphere creates a very European feel. Take a stroll from the top of the promenade at Victoria Street all the way to the bottom at Gutierrez Street, 9 blocks away.

The Funk Zone:

Santa Barbara's Funk Zone has seen an incredible resurgence in the last decade. Once a very "Funky" area full of warehouses and decrepit buildings, some savvy developers saw its potential and turned it into the drinking and dining hub of the region. Follow the Urban Wine Trail and have a world class wine tasting experience without ever setting foot in a car. Grab a table at one of the many high-end restaurants and enjoy an amazing meal in a wonderful location. Grab a drink at one of the beautiful cocktail bars and have a true craft cocktail experience. There is so much to do that you could spend a whole week right here!

East Beach:
East Beach is Santa Barbara's most iconic and largest beach. Huge swaths of sand mean you'll never have trouble finding a spot, and there are a bunch of volleyball courts that are available for free on a first come, first served basis.

Stearns Wharf:

Take a stroll down Stearns Wharf for some of the best views in town. There are a bunch of restaurants, wine tasting rooms and little gift shops to enjoy, although it does tend to skew a little to the "tourist trap" side of things.

The Arlington Theater:

For a truly unique moviegoing experience, check out the historic Arlington Theater. Home to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the Arlington will have you looking around the room as much as you're looking up at the screen.
