It's March which means it's officially Women's History Month! This month (and let's be real, every other day of the year too) we celebrate all of the contributions women have made to history, culture and society. We're a proud girl gang here at Hearth Homes Interiors and will take any opportunity to lift our fellow ladies up! So, to kick things off, we want to share with you all some of our favorite female owned business and designers that inspire us on the daily. We'll be highlighting a few gals here in Santa Barbara as well as around the world!
SANTA BARBARA
Women's Economic Ventures offers multiple business training programs, funding, and overall amazing support to female entrepreneurs and business owners alike. "WEV cultivates the power within each woman to realize her dreams, achieve financial independence and succeed on her own terms." Yes, just YES!
Pura Luna Apothecary, owned by wife duo Ashe and Christin, is a herbal wellness boutique focusing on female empowerment and community. Step into this store and we guarantee you won't leave empty handed!
Springtide Nails is a new, female owned, nail salon located in downtown Santa Barbara, focusing on healthy, non-toxic nail care. I mean, just look at this place, who wouldn't want to relax and get a mani-pedi here?!
Susan Shand is a fellow female designer in Santa Barbara and a mentor to us at Hearth Homes Interiors. Susan helped guide us when we were just starting out and is always a major inspiration to us!
GLOBAL
Three Birds Renovations is made up of three best friends who pursued their design dreams and created a full scale interior design company together. With their success, they've put together an online course to help other women turn their design dreams into reality. Basically, they're our girl gang crush!
The Little Market is a non-profit, fair trade shop offering ethically sourced artisan goods from all over the world. Their mission is to provide women worldwide with income opportunities and self-sufficiency, and let us tell you, these ladies make some incredible products. From baskets, to utensils, to textiles, the creativity and talent is unbelievable!
Summer Fridays is a female owned skincare line all about encouraging and promoting self confidence while using healthy, nourishing ingredients. Plus they have a environmentally friendly recycling program to help keep mother earth happy once you're done with their products. Need we say more!?
These are just a few noteworthy mentions, but there are so so so many more! We feel beyond grateful to be involved in an industry surrounded by so many talented, inspiring, and frankly, BAD-ASS ladies who continually keep us motivated to be our best selves. A big thank you to all the mamas, sisters, business owners, creatives, and headstrong women out there that have paved the way for us, we see you and we appreciate you!
